It’s Friday and we’re thinking that you have plans tonight. If you don’t have one and you just plan on staying home, why not play some video games?

So if you’ve got a  video game console or PC that can play games, hunker down and play these games now.

Mortal Kombat X

If you’re a fan of fighting games and you want it gruesome and violent, then you won’t go wrong with Mortal Kombat X.

Our  favorite Mortal Kombat fighters are here but there’s some new blood as well. The gameplay is still pretty great, the graphics are incredible. What’s different about this latest Mortal Kombat game? The Violence. Bone Crushing moves, Brutalities and special moves  that eviscerate and penetrate. But one of the goriest things you can do in Mortal Kombat X are the Fatalities. It the most violent way to destroy your opponents. Words won’t do justice. Check out the video below.

Mortal Kombat X is a great way to spend Friday and weekends at home. It’s also an awesome way to blow off steam from a tiring work week or work day.

Bloodborne

Bloodborne is from the creators of Dark Souls, the awesome dark fantasy action RPG game. Dark Souls isn’t just some hack and slash game. You just don’t plow through your enemies. No, Dark Souls is unforgiving to noobs and hard, even for veteran gamers. Bloodborne is in the same skein but it’s not as unforgiving as Dark Soul. It is still a gorgeous game, gothic and terrifying. And the enemies that you have to fight are just as terrible.

Instead of relying on a shield, you’re given better mobility. You also regain some health after taking a beatdown but only if you land enough strikes against the monsters you’re facing.

The monsters and denizens of Bloodborne are just as fast as you and more powerful than you. Destroying them requires strategy, good weapons and good reflexes. Take on challenging gothic monsters in a dark Victorian England this weekend with Bloodborne.
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt just came out and we featured it here in Smart Homes Now. As expected it’s pretty awesome. It is so awesome, that Gamespot, IGN and a whole bunch of other gaming web sites have given it a perfect score.

Check out it out.

Witcher 3 is the next game of the phenomenal Witcher series. You play the role of Geralt of Rivia, the Witcher, who is an engineered mutant. Yes, there are mutants in this dark fantasy game. They’re monster hunters, killing ones that prey on the innocent and causing mischief. But Witcher 3 is more than just killing monsters. This is one of the best open world roleplaying games today. There’s political intrigue, personal side quests, factions to deal with and decisions to make. And the decisions that you made in the first two games impact this new game. You’ll talk with a lot of NPCs (non player characters) most of whom have a story to tell. A lot of them have quests for you to undertake.

There’s looting to do, customizing armor and weapons and figuring out which spells work best for you. You just can’t spend one weekend with it. You’ll need to spend weekends with it, even weekdays.

So get these games now. It’s a cool and smart way to spend your weekends.
