We’ve talked about Virtual Reality and how technology today has made it as a truly immersive experience.

Facebook bought Oculus VR and we talked about how it’s possible that social media chat could become immersive. Well, that hasn’t happened yet but Facebook is serious about it. They’re so serious about it that they just released a 360-degree  specially rendered fly-through of a scene from the new Star Wars movie.

You can actually move around the view by holding the mouse button and dragging it in any direction.  It’s pretty awesome to behold.

With the use of a Virtual Reality headset, you’ll be able to look around while any scene is happening.   In the very near future, you’ll wear VR headsets while watching a movie. You won’t have to settle for whatever’s in front of you. You can check out the surroundings by moving your head around.  Just like this Star Wars clip.

A fully immersive movie experience? Yes, please.

We’re excited about this latest development and we’re pretty sure we’ll land a VR headset for the home in the very near future. This is the future of the Smart Homes Now!  Home Entertainment.
